Is the free consultation over the phone or face-to-face?

This is a 15 minute phone conversation.

What happens during the 15 minute consultation?

You can ask questions and express concerns. We want to make sure that you will get the most effective treatment for you.

FIRST APPOINTMENT

What do I need to know before my first appointment?

Once we have decided to work together, we will schedule your first intake appointment, which is typically 60 minutes in duration. You will then receive an email with access to the secure client portal and all the intake paperwork.

How do I log into my client portal to fill out my paperwork?

You can log in by clicking here.

How soon do I need to fill out my client portal paperwork?

Please complete the paperwork at least 24 hours before your first appointment. This allows time for Mindspace Counseling to verify any benefits and ensure your file is ready for your intake.

What do I need for my first appointment?

Please make sure the equipment you will be using (i.e. computer, tablet, or smartphone) is working properly and you have stable Internet connection. Find a private space that is free of distractions and interruptions.

What will happen at my first appointment?

The first 1-2 sessions will involve a comprehensive evaluation of your needs. We will work together to create a treatment plan and establish mutually agreed upon goals based on your history, your needs, and expectations.

What happens after my first appointment?

Ongoing sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in duration, one time per week, at an agreed upon time each day. We will work on the issues identified toward our established goals.

Does my location matter for online counseling?

Yes. We offer online therapy to individuals physically located in North Carolina, Florida (http://www.flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/), and other parts of the world where laws and regulations allow.

PAYMENT AND INSURANCE

Do you accept insurance?

Currently, we are in network with CignaCBHA (Carolina Behavioral Health Alliance) and Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC (PPO and Indemnity). Lin also work with Lyra Health.

If you have other insurance plans, choose to work with us as an out-of-network provider, and pay your session fees out of pocket, we would be happy to provide a receipt for services (called a superbill) for you to submit to your insurance. Once the claim is accepted, your insurance will mail you a check for the amount they agree to reimburse.

Please also note that intensive therapy is not covered by insurance.

What do I need to ask my insurance company?

Some helpful questions you can ask them:

  • How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider for individual therapy?
  • Is there a deductible that has to be met before you reimburse for out-of-network therapy sessions? If so, what is it and how close am I to meeting that?
  • Is there a limit to how many sessions you will reimburse for?

When is payment due?

At the end of your first session, you will receive a text message from IvyPay, a confidential and HIPAA-compliant online payment system. Your credit card information will be requested and kept on file by IvyPay to charge any balances.

Are there any other options?

You can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to save by paying for therapy with pre-tax dollars.

付费和保险

你接收保险吗?

目前,我接收Cigna, CBHA (Carolina Behavioral Health Alliance) 以及 Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC (PPO, Indemnity, and State Health Plan). 我也接收Lyra Health。
