Katie Fontana - Online Counselor & Postpartum Therapist

Hi, I’m Katie Fontana! I’m a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate, but you might also call me a confidence builder, compassionate listener, and supportive collaborator.

It can be difficult to work through all the challenges that occur in life, leading you to feel drained emotionally and physically, or feeling like you are failing. Becoming a parent can lead to the dreaded mom-guilt, constantly questioning your choices, and feeling unsure about your identity. Not to mention the challenge of juggling other relationships while prioritizing your child or children’s’ needs. It is hard to balance responsibilities and expectations in parenthood and life in general! If you add on postpartum depression or postpartum anxiety, it can be particularly difficult.

I help people navigate the challenges that come with becoming a parent and raising children. I help people balance the expectations and responsibilities while maintaining self-care. I offer guidance in developing the skills to manage anxiety and stress appropriately, build self-confidence and resilience, and establish an effective parenting approach.

Clients appreciate my authenticity, transparency, and strengths-based approach to therapy which helps me achieve my mission of aiding clients to feel unburdened by the past, gain self-awareness, and increase happiness, sense of fulfillment and self-confidance.

I know from my own path to healing and wellness that it can be difficult to find a light at the end of the tunnel, but ultimately people have the power to create peace and happiness in their lives. I believe that self-compassion and being open to feeling uncomfortable at times will lead to the accomplishment of a client’s therapeutic goals.
