Presented by: Ashley Parks, LCSW

8/31/2025 2 pm. 1 hour. Virtual

Feeling overwhelmed, scattered, or stuck in stress mode? You’re not alone—and there’s a simple, body-based way to feel more grounded and present. Join us for this experiential webinar where you’ll learn about Bilateral Stimulation (BLS), a calming technique that gently engages both sides of your body or brain to help shift you out of tension and into a more regulated state.

Whether you’re navigating a fast-paced day, struggling to fall asleep at night, or looking for ways to anchor yourself during anxious moments, BLS offers a gentle and accessible approach. You don’t need any special equipment, training, or background—just your breath, your body, and a few moments of mindful attention.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Understand what bilateral stimulation (BLS) is in simple terms.
  • Learn how BLS can help reduce stress, calm racing thoughts, and promote relaxation.
  • Try out easy techniques they can use at home, work, or on the go.
  • Leave with tools they can start using right away to feel more centered and grounded.

What Is Bilateral Stimulation?

BLS refers to any rhythmic stimulation that alternates from left to right—like tapping your hands, walking, or listening to gentle tones in each ear. Though commonly used in therapeutic settings such as in EMDR therapy, BLS is also a simple self-care practice that can be adapted for everyday life. People have used bilateral movements for centuries—rocking a baby, dancing, drumming, or swaying—to create a sense of rhythm, safety, and calm. This webinar will bring those concepts into modern, practical use.

This Session Is For You If You:

  • Often feel overstimulated, tense, or anxious and want simple tools for relief.
  • Struggle with sleep or racing thoughts and want to feel more at ease.
  • Want to better support your focus and emotional regulation during the day.
  • Are curious about body-based methods to support your well-being.
